Foundation
Our Mission
To support Union Public Schools, its vision and the students it serves.
Union Schools Education Foundation
The Union Schools Education Foundation is an exclusively educational and charitable, non-profit corporation. Separate and apart from Union Public Schools, the Foundation maintains its own integrity while working closely with the District. Tax-exempt donations from individuals, corporations and foundations are used solely for the benefit of our students and teachers for projects that would otherwise go unfunded.
The Union Schools Education Foundation was organized in 1991 by Union District patrons and administrators who were dedicated to making investments in education and enhancing the quality of life in our community and state.

Investments
In recent years, public funding for Union Public Schools has been enough to cover the basics: salaries, building costs and some classroom supplies. What's lost? The ability to implement innovative programs and ideas from teachers, parents and students due to lack of funding. That's why your help is so important. Support of the Foundation is an investment in our children, our schools and our community.
While Union Public Schools depends on public funding for basic district operations, implementing innovative programs and ideas often require additional resources. The Foundation is instrumental in providing private contributions and funding for creative programs as well as recognition for our teachers and their impact on students.
Community Partners
The Union Foundation relies on our Tulsa community partners to support our students, teachers and programs. Whether its buying a table at our annual Night of FOCUS event, donating a basket for the silent auction or showing their support with a financial donation - we couldn't do what we do without their help.
Consider showing your support to these local businesses.
Educator Experiences
The Union Schools Education Foundation supports a variety of “Educator Experiences” throughout the district, including the awarding of grants, recognition of employees and support for the annual Teacher of the year celebration each spring.
History
The Union Schools Education Foundation was organized in 1991 by parents and administrators who were dedicated to making investments in education and enhancing the quality of life in our community and state. The foundation would supplement the funding of school endeavors. There were 10,000 students in the district at the time.
The Foundation’s early fundraising activities included a performance puppet group from China, selling videos of graduation, backyard cookouts, and selling bricks from the original Union High School. The funds at that time were used to fund teacher grants, a program that is still in existence.
